Interview - Scott Penticoff is not just a great athlete, he's one of the coolest and most honorable guys we know. He also owns a lot of great shirts. He's returning to the multi scene after taking 2011 off to concentrate on other things. Recently we had the chance to discuss important stuff with him, like philanthropy and ketchup and parenthood.
MTN - You concentrated on ultra-running and philanthropy in 2011. What did you set out to accomplish in those areas? And did you satisfy your goals?

Howdy. Just wanted to feed you a few nuggets ..... Trinona is working with TRIA and Gear West to offer a TRIATHLON 101 Clinic on March 31. It is FREE but folks must RSVP, as space is limited. It takes place at TRIA Othopaedic in Bloomington from 9:00am to 12:30pm on Saturday, March 31. There will be a lot of great content for any newbies interested in learning more about the sport - and walking away with a few door prizes....

ED. MTN congratulates Minnesotans Dan Hedgecock, Matthew Payne, Brian Bich, Kevin O'Connor, Ben Ewers and Greg Taylor (honorary Minnesotan), who garnered USA Triathlon Honorable Mentions. Only Colorado--10 athletes--had more honorees. The official announcement appeared on usatriathlon.org yesterday.
