Just phoned in from Bend, Oregon: Apple Valley's Cathy Yndestad just finished Leadman 250 (yes, that's 5K swim, 223K bike, 22K run) in the insanity-inducing time of 9:55!!! Details and photo(s) coming soon...

Last February I won the golden ticket. Thee golden ticket. The ticket so coveted that in the past one woman actually showed up at the race posing as a chosen participant. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, a chosen female racer could not attend and made a deal with the poser to take her place. The poser spent time in the klink. Thee klink.

Ironman Wisconsin Race Report - I don't want to make this a super long post because I am still trying to get my life back together after being gone for four days and then I am leaving in two days to see one of my athletes finish her first triathlon out in Malibu, California.
I had a great day in Wisconsin but it didn't turn out the way I had planned, some things went out of the plan but that is what happens during an Ironman - you have to expect the unexpected.
We packed up the van on Friday, there were three kids and three adults and I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get it all in there. We were pretty packed in!

Hy-Vee 5150 US Champs Race Report - When I left my job at Target I dedicated everything I had to training and racing and spent the last two years relying on the help of friends and family to chase after the foolhardy dream of being a professional triathlete. Most of the time my life feels like a bi-polar disorder.
