Town Halls, Famous Water Fountains & Expectant Moms...

townTreadman Duathlon VII - The original Treadman Du was staged in the unincorporated community of Douglas, which is just a few miles north of Rochester. Home to almost 50 people, it has a saloon and, we're not making this us, a famous drinking fountain. The folks in Douglas must be a thirsty bunch.

The race stayed in Douglas for three years, then moved further north to the town of Pine Island, which is home to...

approximately 3,300 residents and a has a cool town hall (photo) and a market where you can buy organic stuff. It's a nice town. The median family income there is $59,762, which includes all the coins in the sofa cushions and the kids' piggy banks.

Treadman remains in Pine Island and will probably stay there for years to come. Why? It's a great race with good courses and abundant amenities. It's produced by Final Stretch.

2011 - Brent Sinn (La Crosse, WI) and Ruth Brennan Morrey (Ruther is somewhere in Europe right now. We don't know exactly where. She says she'll return to Rochester next summer.)
