Press Release - Due to a couple unforeseen planning complications this year, Mosquitoman Duathlon is cancelled for 2011. Although we announce this with some disappointment, we believe that it is the correct decision to make. We continually strive to produce events that are top notch and professional in every aspect. With difficulties surrounding the bike and run courses, we simply could not put together a course that satisfied our standards of race excellence. For those of you that have already registered for the race, you will be issued a refund no later than 08/22/11. You should see the correct amount returned to your card within the next few

* SERIOUS CHICKING - Women seem to be cracking the Overall Top 10 in multisport races with semi-regularity these days.
Really?
Yeah. Sixty-four outdoor multis have been staged in Minnesota thus far in 2011. In 18 of those races (27%), fast girls have placed in the Top 10.
The most frequent female Top Tenner?
That would be the Michelle Andres (photo L), the lovely 34-year-old mom of five from East Gull Lake. She's done so FOUR times this season. Even more impressive is the fact that she actually cracked the overall Top 5 in each of those races. Here's how it shook-out: 5th at COLT, 2nd at Tri For a Cause, 4th at Chase the Police and at Northwoods. Additionally, her average margin of victory in these SPRINT events was 8:16....
