Mo Mouw's favorite beer is Summit Pale Ale. Knowing that his friend David Holden shares an affection for this particular adult beverage, Mo asked David if he, perchance, "had a six-pack?" Overhearing the question, Dan Cohen peeled back his skinsuit, revealing a "six pack" of his own. The laughing trio then posed for the picture you see here. And whether you believe it or not, Dan's gut is NOT sucked in. It's really like that.
This photo was taken at last year's Croixathlon. Dan won that race. His shirted compatriots, David (right) and Mo (left) took 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Cohen and Holden will be racing in this year's edition--the 5th--of the Croixathlon. Mo has yet to register, though his lovely wife..

As with the men, Lake Waconia's women's elite field is the deepest of the year thus far, despite the absence of Cathy Yndestad and Julie Hull, who will be doing other stuff this weekend.
Last year's podium finishers--Brook Mutzenberger (photo), Jan Guenther and Susan Williams--are back. Duplicating their 2009 placings will be difficult, however, thanks to the formidable presence of past LWT champ Marlo McGaver,...

In addition to being a tremendous multisport athlete, Scott Penticoff is a totally cool guy. And honest and trustworthy, too, in case those qualities aren't covered by his total coolness.
Scott claims that Newt's--A Local Tradition Since 1980!--serves the best burger in the whole goshdarn state of Minnesota, not just Rochester, where it is located.
We trust Scott and plan to meet him and whoever else chooses to join us at Newt's after this Sunday's RochesterFest Triathlon. NEWT'S WEBSITE. Everybody's invited! Scott plans to get "The Works" burger: 3/4 pound of of beef with everything on it and a full pound of fries. We're thinking of getting "Todd's Burger," which includes several strips..

Here are some images of the women's favorites at Saturday's Liberty Half. One features two-time Liberty champ Marlo McGaver, shown here (left) between buddies Natasha Badmann and Julie Hull, pretty good triathletes themselves, hitchhiking in Europe. The other (right) is of fellow two-time Liberty winner Karen Rosehart. In this shot, she is within a few miles a completing her trans-Lake Superior swim, which started near her hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario and finished near Moose Dropping, Michigan...
