Race Preview - Own a wetsuit? If not, buy, rent or borrow one if you plan to race at the 7th annual Albert Lea Triathlon, which is a totally cool event produced by totally cool people, on Sunday. Water temps will be "invigorating." The goodish news is that the swim is only a quarter mile long.
On to the competitive stuff.
More interesting than predicting who will win on Sunday is who will place second.

Race Preview - WARNING: Some of this stuff is totally made-up.
When Angie Hop heard that the 2nd annual, like the first annual, Green Lake Duathlon offered a post-race "RibFest," featuring "baby back ribs," she decided to boycott the race. She believes that eating the ribs of cute little piglets is just plain wrong, or as she put it in her own words, "Hey, eating the ribs of cute little piglets is just plain wrong!" She also complained that there isn't much meat on baby pig bones....

Race Preview - Record attendance will be on hand for Saturday's Take the Hill Triathlon in St. Peter,
where, according to the city's website, "...History and Progress Meet." Cool slogan.
Formerly the Gustie Triathlon, the event reached its 150 participant enrollment ceiling and will not be accepting race-day registration. A glance at the start list has us suspecting that last week's UMM-Tinman winner, Jose Rosales-Yepez, should win easily and Micah Turman, whose wife Abby is totally preggers, and the effervescent Randy Quaid lookalike Paul Mollett should capture the remaining podium spots.
