By Meredith Atwood (triathlete.com)

We tend to over-complicate New Year's resolutions and instead need to "show up, open up, and see what happens from there."

What is it about resolutions that makes me feel like I messed up my entire prior year—and perhaps my entire life?

Everyone and their brother (myself included) preaches about not making resolutions for a long time. “It’s a lifestyle!” Fill in the blank whatever “it” is. Make the last 90 days of the year great! Forget resolutions.

ED. Kristina Swenson is a remarkable young woman. She's smart, caring and a terrific athlete (former Minnesota Junior of te Year, Most Improved nominee etc.)

She's also a talented writer. There were tough decisions. But it was also SO SO good. There were great memories. There were smart choices. There was a lot of wisdom gained. I am so proud of the woman you've become. You're stronger. You're healthier. You're happier. And you have a whole lot more love to give. So looking back, what do I want you to remember about this year? ....
