In honor of Valentine’s Day, Triathlon.Competitor.com look back on a popular archive from author Lauren Harsch: A simple, four-step guide on how to date, and maybe one day marry, a triathlete.

Here's some cool news:
- 2013 USAT HONOREES - The US Tri, Du and Off Road AOYs and HMs have been determined and will be announced very soon on usatriathlon.org. We know who the honorees are but have been asked to keep quiet until the news posts on the federation website. Of course, this makes us crazy. We will say that we're happy about MOST of the final selections. Stayed tuned.
- MEXICAN VACATION - Several Minnesotans will be racing Ironman Los Cabos on March 30. The town is at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and the area is known for sport fishing, whale watching--whales can't be trusted..

But, stress budgeting is one of the most important concepts in lasting an entire season and making long-term progress. Often overlooked by triathlon coaches and self-coached athletes, this is part and parcel to surviving and benefiting from the training of a triathlon...

Does your life function inside the bubble of the triathlon world or does triathlon fit inside the bubble of your life?
Stripping away everything-triathlon from my world, I’m a husband, father, full-time IT professional, coach, friend, son and brother. If I tried to squeeze and balance those components of my life inside a world dictated by triathlon, I’d lose and my bubble would pop. Triathlon only fits when there’s balance amongst those things that weigh heavier in importance....
