New Bri XIII Preview...

NEW BRI TRI XIII - Though it is not our state's first tri of the season, it is, and  has been for a dozen years, Minnesota's lake swim tri opener. The earlier races--Tinman, COLT, TriWadena--feature pool swims.

With the postponement of this year's Buffalo Tri, we encourage those who were planning to race at Sturges Park to sign up for New Bri. We'd love to see a huge turnout for this June 3 event....

Race promoters are excited about the new courses, and are confident that the lake temps will be in the 70s.

But wait! There's more. The New Bri Tri is part o an exciting race series. Here' how it is described on the series website:

A great kick off to the 2018 triathlon season, New Bri Tri is also the first in the triathlon series which offers two distance options – the sprint series features three sprints – New Bri Tri, Turtleman Sprint and Square Lake Sprint. Or grow your distances throughout the season with New Bri Tri, Turtleman Olympic and finish with Square Lake 70.3.

So, a new era is about to get started in New Brighton. We'll post some 2018 predictions later in the week. Now we'll show some deference to those who have pioneered this race.
