Apple History -There isn't a finer duathlon in the US than The Apple. There just isn't! The oldest ongoing multi in Minnesota, this event will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Saturday, May 26. Cool!...

From 1983 until 1998, Apple was content to be a sweet little regional-level race. In 1999 it became more ambitious, thereafter hosting the USAT National Du Championships (2000) and serving as various world long and short distance qualifiers. During this period it became recognized as one of the premier run-bike-runs in America.

In 2004, Apple adopted the course distances--5K - 33K - 5K--that are still in place today. Every race has been expertly produced and overflowing with competitive excitement and post-race food, fun and prizes.
