ED. Jamie Heying won the Burrito Union 10-Hr last weekend. She's the one in the middle of the phot. Sh had just finished the Boston Marathon. Here's her cool BU report.

my race report: This was my third attempt at the Burrito and by
far the funniest. We started the roadtrip at 2:30 am from Buffalo. We
picked up the other two members of "Team Tiger Blood" and I drove us up to
the race. We got there for packet pick-up, unloaded and had 10 minutes...
before the swim. Temp was in the 50's. We are all standing at the swim
start and Rod says "Everybody listen up, we aren't going around that buoy
over there on the right. It is too shallow over there and with all of you,
it will be too much of a cluster, so just go that one straight out there"
and then he points. It was classic. Don't let the 14 mile bike ride fool
you. It is a high speed 35 mph hill right out of transition which is
great, but then you realize at the end of 14 miles you have to climb back
up it. It delivers a pretty good physical and mental slap. But, it is also
a happy moment because in a matter of minutes the bike can be kicked to the
curb for this round. I have to admit I was cussing myself for not getting
out with the Buffalo Tri Club on their Thursday bike rides since they had a
handful of people training for Madison, would've been perfect training. I
take off on the run through the campground and make it to the trail. The
trail looks like an old mining road with two somewhat recognizable tire
tracks, tall grass and mud. I was actually laughing to myself singing that
country song with the verse "I'd like to check you for ticks." But it does
turn into more of a single track with obstacles (tree roots, wood stairs,
rocks) and is pretty much an uphill climb through the lollipop. The
downhill is pretty fast and out of control trying not to dive off into the
woods. It was a great offroad run. Coming off the run into transition is
loud and crazy because it is the relay tag zone, so racers are keyed up
waiting for their teammate to emerge. The hot tub and tents/ez-ups give it
a camping feel and a fun, party atmosphere. Just gotta get to transition
and start all over again... It was a fun day that ended with the roadtrip
back, of course, with a stop for giant chocolate milks and fast food. Home
