Ironman Wisconsin Race Report - By Bonnie Rockstar
Friday night I attended the mandatory meeting. It was announced that two people had to be rescued from the water while getting in their pre-race practice swim earlier that day due to rough waters. I turned to my earlier ex'd-boyfriend and gave him a stern look.
Sunday morning the alarm clock went off. I was glad. It interrupted the nightmare I was having about racing. Did I mention I was a bit nervous. Deathly nervous. Pure frayed nerve frying nervous. I shakily made out my last will and testament as I ate my oatmeal and drank my protein drink. I prayed, I cried, I muttered under my breath like a crazy woman.
