BLAINE TRIATHLON - Sunrise Lake was a shrinkage-inducing 51.4-degrees this morning, yet 250ish intrepid souls accepted the challenge. Devon Palmer and Heather Lendway led the way. Words, results and photos to come.

TRF SANDFORD HEALTH TRIATHLON - Manitobian pro, Riley Unger, 21, who has several wins and records at this event, outdistanced the 76-athlete field, winning by just less than a seven minute margin.Thirteen-year-old Payton Ryz, also from Manitoba, took the women's title. RESULTS ...

- The MTN Guys are sad to announce that the MINNEMAN TRIATHLON on June 28 has been cancelled.

- YOKOHAMA WORLD TRIATHLON - St. Paul resident Gwen Jorgenson won this prestigious event for the 2nd straight year.

- CARY CLASSIC - USAT LONG DISTANCE DUATHLON NATIONALS - Bloomington's Patrick Parish won this event this morning. As a pro however, the title of National Champion will probably be given to runner-up Albert Hanson, an amateur from Boone, NC.

Lino Lake's Diane Hankee has virtually assured herself of a 2014 Duathlete of the Year nomination with her 2nd place effort at Cary. Her time was only 16 seconds slower than the winner, Laura Kline of New Paultz, New York. Diane has two wins and a 2nd in du racing already this season. Chaska's Suzie Fox placed 7th in the women's race and her boyfriend, Brendon O'Flanagan, placed 19th overall for the guys.
