TRINONA OLYMPIC - Claire Bootsma was busy crushing Trinona Olympic's course record when she exited T2 yesterday with a 4:26 lead on her chief adversary, Ruth
TRINONA SPRINT - Brian Sames (54:02) and Diana Koepp (1:02:04) trashed the Trinona Sprint's CRs yesterday morning, Koepp by 2:38, Sames by an even heftier 5:08. Koepp's victory was the second of her young and promising career. Veronica Bond (photo L), who placed 3rd at Liberty Olympic on Saturday, also placed 3rd on Sunday in the Sprint. We don't much about Sames, though according to his FB page, he enjoys "Family Guy" and listening to Eminem. SPRINT RESULTS Steve Stenzel's photos and words on the Trinona races will post tomorrow. Or maybe Wednesday. Stay tuned in for that. It should be very cool. 23rd Manitou Sprint Triathlon - Minneapolis pro Devon Palmer's 3rd victory at yesterday's Manitou Sprint was accomplished in PR time, his awesome 59:57 becoming only the second sub-1-hour in event history. The men's amateur victory was earned by Patrick Parish, who is undefeated in five starts this season. Six-time (we think?) MST champ Kevin O'Connor rounded out the guy's podium. Cathy Yndestad collected her 6th Manitou victory with a 38 second victory over runner-up Suzie Fox, who toasted her personal best on this course by almost 5 minutes. The final step of the women's podium was taken by Stephanie Solfelt. Photos and lots more words on Tuesday. MANITOU RESULTS
