Buffalo & Pigman Headlines...

logoBuffalo Triathlon IX - Cathy Yndestad's slumbering mojo woke up this morning in Buffalo. The result was a victory, her 3rd here and 52nd of her illustrious career. She was pushed to a sub-2:10 by Suzie Fox, who set an Olympic-distance PR, 2:11:42. Kortney Haag's hammie was good to go this morning. She placed 3rd.

Six-time Buff Olympic champ Chris Legh had to overtake Devon Palmer, who has this cool Wyatt Earpish mustache and soul patch thing going on, late in the race to keep his Tri Buff win streak alive. Patrick Parish took the amateur crown, keeping him undefeated in four starts this season....

Cindy Blackstock set a Sprint course record and was very happy, though she didn't smile any more than she usually does, which is all the time. Twas Cindy's second career win. Her co-champ was Andy Wiberg. We believe that this was Andy's first tri victory. More words and photos on Tuesday. RESULTS

* Pigman Sprint - DKT and Claire Bootsma set course records this morning at Pleasant Creek Recreation Area in rural Palo, Iowa. David lowered the men's mark he set in 2008 by six seconds. His margin of victory over Iowan Jeff Paul was a blubbery 3:31. Boots shrunk the women's best by 1:09, from 1:09:47 to 1:08:39. She placed an unprecedented 6th overall and beat the 2nd place girl, Iowa's Janet McCullough by a porcine 5:25. Kevin O'Connor also rocked, placing 3rd overall. RESULTS
