Healthy Endurance Hobby Leads to Streak

Three places to find Matt Evans every summer:

-- Along the North Shore the third Saturday in June.

-- At Sugar Lake Lodge in Grand Rapids the second Saturday in July.

-- At Pike Lake the first Sunday in August.

The Duluth native and associate professor of physics at Wisconsin-Eau Claire feeds his endurance racing habit by keeping three streaks alive. When the 25th Brewhouse Triathlon... starts at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Evans will wade into Pike Lake as the only entrant to start and finish either the short or long-course race since the event began in 1987.
