* North Hudson, Wisconsin's David Holden (photo R), a Minnesota Master of the Year nominee in 2010, became a three-time Fairmont Olympic champion on Saturday. He was joined in the Winners Circle by Blue Earth's comely Suzie Olsen, who is also a multiple winner at FOT.

* Saturday's Loon Lake Triathlon was won rather convincingly by Mankato's Dan Friedrichs, who is a totally nice guy. This year's women's champ was Cheryl Johnson, also a Mankatoian, who is probably very nice, too. Cheryl was 8th at Albert Lea last month. RESULTS

* There are a few slots open for next Sunday's RochesterFest Triathlon. Act quickly, this great race should fill by Wednesday. RACE WEBSITE
