Extra Sauce & Chick Stuff...

Going Off Course - "Red's Savoy. Can you hold?" The guy didn't wait for her answer. Manilow musak filled Tiff's left ear.
"Mandy."
Tiffany Lindstrom was happy to wait. This pizza was worth it. Smartly, she had peed before she hit the speed dial. She swallowed hard so as not to choke on all the fluid that had accumulated in her anxious oral cavity.
"...You came and you gave without taking...But I sent you away...Oh, Mandy," Ms Lindstrom sang softly in a pleasant falsetto. The guy picked up....
"Pick up or delivery?"
"Pick up," Tiff replied breathlessly. She lived in Woodbury. Red's was on White Bear in St. Paul. Out of delivery range. No matter. Pick up was faster.
"What'll it be?" The guy's voice was impatient, like he was from Chicago where world-class restaurant food is almost always preceded by "service with a snarl."
Lindstrom didn't mind.
"14-inch Hawaiian; extra sauce." Still breathless. The anticipation, watery mouth and tickly tummy were excruciating and sublime.
"Twenty-five minutes." The phone went dead.
Tiffany Lindstrom snatched her keys off the dining table and headed for the garage. "...you kissed me and stopped me from shaking...and I need you today...Oh, Mandy," she sang happily as the automatic door rose.
Triathlete Tiffany Lindstrom is totally ripped and totally cool. She's outgoing and has a smile as big as Utah and as bright as Stephen Hawking. Her teeth are big and very white.
Tiff loves what she calls "chick stuff." Chick movies. Chick books. Cottage cheese. (Guys do not love cottage cheese.) Demi Moore. (Okay. Guys love Demi Moore, too.) And her too-cute daughter, Torun Grace, who is her's mom's favorite artist, by the way, is the hands-down love of her life. (Photo R - Mom, Torun & Torun's tri bike.)
It's not that she doesn't like any guy stuff. She admits to liking to mow her yard and is as stridently vocal about her passion for the Wisconsin Badger football team as any shirtless, body-painted, beer-swilling male fan. Tiff doesn't do the shirtless body-painting stuff and prefers Captain Morgan to brewski.
And here's some more totally cool stuff about this totally cool person.

Non tri hobbies? Being with my family and friends (see photo above), mowing the lawn (I know weird), being at the cabin (summer activity and snowmobiling) love to dance, taking a nap (which I don't get too many of with Torun Grace). Otherwise I really do enjoy training - hanging out with Bay Shock, Coach T, Jenny Wilcox, Steve Olson, Charles Barrette for a nice ride is a great way to spend my day. We had a blast training for Ironman AZ.
What you want for Christmas? For my Mom to continue to make it through stage 4 Breast Cancer with the grace, dignity and drive that she displays every day. It has been a difficult year for our family. Otherwise I would rather give than receive gifts. Christmas with family and friends is amazing. The look on Torun's face on Christmas morning is priceless. Oh - Santa could bring me a Kona spot if he is insisting that he bring me something!
NOTE: The Hawaiian pizza in the photo at the top of the page is NOT a Red's Savoy Hawaiian pizza, which is too awesome to adequately describe.
