David, Apple & Lifeguards...

DAVID KOPPEL - In July of 2023, David Koppel, 2021 Minnesota Triathlete of the Year, suffered a  tri career-threatening bike accident. His recovery and ultimate return to the sport he loves as a participant (he is also a coach) has been long and arduous. But he's back now. Not all the way back, but it appears he may return to full strength before the 2025 season is over. His first race since the accident happened last weekend at the rainy Gulf Coast 70.3 in Panama City, Florida, where he placed 17th overall / 3rd 35-39. Congrats, David!

APPLE MULTISPORT FESTIVAL - Apple, America's oldest and arguably most prestigious non-championship duathlon, will celebrate its 43rd anniversary next Sunday at it's great new venue at Sartell High School. For the...

second consecutive year, it will feature a pool swim tri, relay marathon and team time trial. With great upcoming events like Buffalo and Trinona, Apple can serve as a great rust-buster. The AMF is an awesome event and has a great t-shirt (photo). We hope to see you on Sunday. RACE WEBSITE
