2023 Minnesota Multisport Honors - Our research reveals that the men listed here truly "stepped up" in 2023. Their performances showed marked improvement over past seasons. Here are the men being considered for official MOST IMPROVED nominations:
BRANDON LEE, 41, Hugo
Highlights:

COMMENT: Two years ago, Brandon's results were not competitive. In 2022, that changed in a big way. And this year he raced even faster and is being considered for nominations for Master of the Year and Most Improved.
COREY NYGAARD, 24, Alexandria (Top Photo)

- 2nd @ Tinman Olympic
COMMENT: Corey started winning in 2023, and his times were significantly faster than in prior seasons.
SEAN PICKLE, 18, St. Cloud
Highlights:

- 2nd @ Square Lake Sprint
- 3rd @ Timberman Sprint
- 4th @ Buffalo SPrint
- 4th @ Green Lake Sprint
- 4th @ Manitou Sprint
- 5th @ Lakes Country
COMMENT: Sean got serious this year. He raced hard and often and his results show that he has "elite" potential.
MICAH WARNING, 27, Winona (Photo R)

- 4th @ Timberman Olympic
- 4th @ Trinona Olympic
COMMENT: Micah has raced only three times before this season, twice in 2022 and once in 2016. His 2023 results demonstrate his trajectory toward elite status.
PETER WIKMAN,29. Minneapolis
Highlights:

COMMENT: No one doubted that Peter would eventually take his place among the best triathletes in our state. "Eventually" arrived in 2023.
DILLON WILLIAMS, 28. MINNEAPOLIS
Highlights:

- 3rd @ Chisago Olympic - 1:58:23
- 7th @ Maple Grove Olympic - 1:59:07
COMMENT: After solid results in 2021 and 2022, Dillon is barking with the big dogs in 2023.
