Vacations Are Good Things...

Some things I learned while away on a week-long vacation to the Rivera Maya, Mexico:
1) I am proud to be a Minnesotan! We have four distinct seasons that provide multiple opportunities to let you know you’re alive (especially in the frigid cold winter).
2) Taking a week off from responsibilities and training can sometimes teach a person more than the actual training itself.
3) Having a week alone with my husband makes me appreciate the blessing of family (especially Mike’s Mom who stayed with the kids for the whole week)!
4) I recognize that love is a choice in marriage. But, I really do like my hubby!
I really didn’t do much at all while away on vacation. I was a little nervous with how bad my foot would feel after...
spending a week in a swimsuit flip flops. But temps were around 80/82 degrees, so I decided I’d deal with any flare-ups of my plantar fasciitis when I got back home. Mike and I ran in a little “I ran in Paradise 5k” jog along the path beside the beach two days after we had arrived. He was minorly thrilled with his sense of accomplishment after finishing and I thought it was super cute; with the exception of the fact that my left heel pain had ramped up again....READ MORE
