2014 Minnesota Multisport Awards - Last week we revealed the names of some of the teen triathletes who are being considered for 2014 Junior of the Year nominations. Today, we introduce you to the four athletes who are in contention for the Rookie of the Year award.
EMY EVERHART, 35, St. Paul – Resume:

6th @ Life Time – Minneapolis Sprint
7th @ Blaine Triathlon
13th @ Chisago Sprint
13th @ Trinona Sprint ....
NOTE: Everhart (photo L) is eligible despite having raced twice in 2013 (7th at One Last Tri, 20th at YWCA Women’s Tri). By rule, one is ineligible for consideration in this category if they have raced three or more times in the past. To be considered for any MMA, one has to turn in a minimum of three outstanding performances during the season in question.

NOTE: Kelly plans to race at One Last Tri on September 14. She needs an outstanding performance there in order to receive an official JOY nomination.
Official nominees will be announced on MTN later this month. Awards will be announced and presented on October 25 at Gear West Bike & Triathlon. We hope you plan to attend.
