AG Athletes of the Month...

The Minnesota Multisport Awards Selection Committee (MMA Selectors) congratulate Tracy Serreyn (photo L) and Hank Larsen, their May "Age Group Athletes of the Month." Tracy and Hank were selected ahead of the following non-open-class, i.e. 19U ans 40+, athletes, all of whom enjoyed great racing success in May:

The MMA Selectors considered Hank's selection to be clear-cut. Serreyn's selection was slightly more controversial. Pam Stevens was certainly deserving of the AG AOM as well. The fact that Tracy was Top Master at Apple and was beaten by only one Master--Tracie Kent,age 40--at Oakdale strengthened her case. Additionally, when our extremely conservative "age grading" formula (.8% decline per year starting at age 41) was applied, Stevens' times did quite match-up with Serreyn's.
