"Six Pack Girl"...

In the last two weeks MTN had posted stories about guys who not so long ago had set performances standards in our region. But life and circumstances and general stuff has gotten in the way. As a result, those guys--Curt Wood and Jeremy Sartain--are no longer visible and felt presences on our racing scene. Both plan to return. We wish we could tell you when that would be. Soon, we hope.
Check out the photo (L), which was taken at the Buffalo Triathlon in 2005. What do you see?
You probably know that the girl on the left with the awesome guns is Julie Hull. Most folks in our community recognize her because she's so dang good....
Who is the pretty girl in the middle with the ripply six-pack? And who is #104, who has a great smile?
"Great Smile Girl" is Jodie Taylor, a fine athlete and former Minnesota Rookie of the Year nominee (2003, we think?) who moved away quite a while ago, we think, but are not sure.
"Six Pack Girl" is Becky Burdick and she is a true Minnesota Multisport Pioneer. She stopped doing tris in 2009 and we miss her. Not only a terrific athlete, Becky is a sweet person. Professionally, she does important medical stuff, though we can't tell you exactly what. Just know that it's major stuff.
We know that the old-timers remember her. That the "New Timers" don't know her or of her is sad. So, we're gonna list a few of her awesome highlights here.
Hey Becky, we hope you are happy and well. And we miss you.
