Trinona's Together Do-Do...

Race Preview - Dave Schutz totally has his race directing do-do together. His TRINONA, the fourth edition of which is on Sunday, has won the Race of the Year award twice and finished 2nd in the polling on the other occasion. How impressive is that! This kinda stuff couldn't happen with un-together do-do.

Trinona is simply a magnificent event. Magnificently staged, scenic and challenging courses and amenities up the wahzoo. And it has pulled pork sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies as big as your head. And Amanda, Dave's spousal unit, sings the National Anthem, better than anyone.

Okay. Now it's time to talk about people.

There are four great races this weekend and Trinona is, by far, the most competitive of the group. Not only that, this year's field is much deeper than in 2011, when overall and divisional records fell like Facebook stock, or union benefits in Wisconsin.

Yes, in spite of what could be pizza oven heat on Sunday, we believe that records will continue to plummet.
