In TX I rode 65 miles with my seat in this condition and I debated if it would have been better to ditch the seat entirely. I didn’t want the day to end so I went with it. Thankfully the course was flat but the train tracks and bumps were numbing. My husband warned me in TX not to adjust my seat before the race. It was so painful that it resulted in a great bike split. However, going through water stops was like riding a unicycle and the distraction and pain lead to nutrition issues and a bad race. I felt horrible...

Cindy Blackstock qualified for the 2013 Ironman World Championship at Ironman Wisconsin in October 2012 by finishing third in her age group in a dramatic finish. In 2012, my Dad was 80 and Peter was 10, giving us the oldest and youngest competitors in the race. Since there's almost nobody in the male-relay division, we've won twice....

Augusta 70.3 Race Report
Augusta 70.3: Finally, finally, finally…a race without drama for RBM. Throughout my first year of pro racing, race barriers became commonplace and each one challenged me to persevere either tactically, physically, mentally, or mechanically. Small mistakes/mishaps were magnified and every pedal stroke counted as even long course placings can be decided by mere seconds. This weekend in Augusta, GA, however, there were no stolen transition bags, no agony, no crashes, no flat tires, no 4 foot Adriatic or Lake Michigan swells, no...
