2026 Buffalo Sprint Preview – Based on the current list of registrants, here are some of the folks we expect to excel at next Sunday's Buffalo Sprint Triathlon:
Mitchell Clayton – Mitch is making his Buffalo debut and we believe he has what it takes to win the overall men's title. His 2024-25 resume features seven podiums, including two wins, in eight starts. His only non-podium effort was a DNF at Clear Lake, where he was leading at the time his tire blew.
Brian Storhaug - Brian has a win, two seconds and a third in this race. Another podium is very possible.
Thad Ingersoll – An elite master who fliess a bit under the radar because he only races once or twice per season. He placed 2nd behind Storhaug in '23, and 4tlast year.
Jeron Hall – After a succesful junior campaign in 2025, we wouldn't be surprised to see Jeron, now 20, breakout at Buffalo. A top 5 is certainly conceivable. Brenner Hohenstein, 29, is another guy to watch.
Cheryl Zitur – She's 61 now, but still hard to bet against in sprint races, as she's proven here with four wins and four 2nds to her credit. She owns a similar resume at Maple Grove Sprint....
Diane Hankee - Winner of at least forty-three multis in her career, a Top 3 on Sunday would be hard to bet against.
Andrea Myers – An eight-time master of the Year nominee, Andrea will be a definite podium contender next weekend.
Bette Rowley – Like Zitur and Myers, Bette rocks short courses. She was 3rd here in 2025.
Deana Jagielo – We haven't seen much from Deana since her very successful 2022 season, but we nevertheless expect to be very competitive next Sunday.
It will be yet another exciting race. We hope you'll be there, whether you race, spectator or volunteer. RACE WEBSITE
