2025 TIMBERMAN OLYMPIC Preview - On Monday we posted our picks to contend for overall and AG awards in Timberman's Sprint competition. Today we are doing the same with the Olympic-distance racers....

Overall:

- JOE ADRIAENS - The only reason Joe's resume doesn't feature a bunch of wins is because he always chooses the most competitive races. This means that his scorecard is packed with 2nds and 3rds. Could Saturday be the day that he takes home the top prize? Yes, but the path to victory goes through Josh Blankenheim.

- JOSH BLANKENHEIM - A two-time Timberman champ with three other podiums to brag about tell us that he's the man to beat. Our records show that a win would be the 20th of his career. JB is the 2024 Minnesota Master of the Year.

- JASON CRISP - He placed 2nd here last year and 4th in 2022. A podium is possible.

- NICK JASMER - Like Jason, a podium is possible.

- ELENA JASPER - A podium lock. She was third here in 2024 behind the women--Heather Lendway and Rachel Werking--the finished 1-2 at Nationals. She was 2nd in 2023.

- TIFFANY KARI - Tiff was 4th here in 2024, and 3rd in 2023. She was runner-up for Minnesota Master of the Year last season. Possible podium.

- HEATHER LENDWAY - The three-time women's National Champion is the clear favorite. A four-ime winner here, she owns the women's course record.

ED. We wouldn't be surprised if three-time Minnesota Triathlete of the Year PRESTON YOUNGDAHL will be one of the late registrants. If this happens, of course, he will be favored to win. Some you know, Preston is undefeated on Minnesota soil since mid-2022.

- HAYDEN NISULA (00-19W), DAVID CARNEY (50-54M), CHUCK HENGEL (60-64M), TIM BROWN (65-69M), , LORI GREEN, ONT (60-64W), JAN GUENTHER (60-64W).
