By Micah Warning
Raced the Morris Tin Man Triathlon last weekend and came away with the overall win and a new course record.
Pre-Race:
Felt ready coming into this race and knew it would be competitive with Spencer Syvertson (Photo - Spencer and Micah) on the start line.
Swim:
Had a solid swim. Spencer and I pushed each other the entire time and kept the pace strong from the start.
Bike:
Put together a strong ride and stayed patient early. I was able to make the pass on Spencer around mile 12 and continued to build from there....
Run:
Took control of the race on the run and focused on holding a strong, consistent pace all the way to the finish. Ended up setting the run course record.
Result:
1st place overall, setting both the run course record and overall course record (1:34:59). Grateful for the opportunity to race and put together a strong effort. This was a great benchmark as I continue building toward Ironman 70.3 Omaha and chasing a pro card.
