A colleague of mine asked me why I am participating in the MS150 ride to help fight against Multiple Sclerosis instead of cleaning up trash or building houses as part of a charity fundraiser. I gave him two reasons :
1) I would get stuck in wet cement or fall off the roof.
2) I believe in using what you enjoy to help others.

Andy was willing to sacrifice himself for his family and a beach full of strangers. Fortunately, the scud, like most scuds, did not detonate, thus Andy can continue to race and coach and do family stuff.)
