Stars of Weekend Past...

With a super race weekend behind us, it's fun to reflect on the stellar performances which took place. The stars were too numerous to, well, enumerate...

But we thought we'd recognize ten of the most "glaring" ones. Stars, that is. Let's start at the upper left corner and work "right-ward."

Top - 1. Lindsey Kurhajetz (pronounced "Kurr-high-etts'"). With fellow gorgeous co-director Jeannette Neuman, former Miss Maple Grove America (2007) Lindsey produced one of the most visually and mechanically stunning first-time events that Minnesota has ever seen. The Maple Grove Triathlon deserves to takes its place among the premier events in our region.

Top - 2. A photo of Jmatt Keil when he was in 10th grade. On Sunday this totally cool dude rocked at PR at Ironman Canada. It was a 9:54, eh.

Top - 3. Brooke Larsen recorded her 6th career multisport victory on Sunday at Lakes Country XIII. Soft spoken and frightfully intelligent, Larsen is now a two-time Tri Minnesota Series Overall Champion. She attributes the 100% of her success this season to her new K-Swiss K-Ruuz racing flats, which she purchased at Gear West Ski & Run.
