- 33rd MORRIS TINMAN TRIATHLON - A total of twenty-six athletes participated in this year's races (sprint and Olympicish). As expected, SHEENA DAUER won the longer course event, placing 2nd overall behind former Minnesotan Mick Bakker, now of Anchorage Alaska. Do you know Mick? He's an awesome  guy who likes to come back to his former stomping grounds are do a few races. RESULTS

- ST. ANTHONY'S TRIATHLON - We've all had 'em, haven't we? You know, you go into a race anxious to excel but your body doesn't work. You push, and you struggle, and things only get worse. Such experiences can be motivating and often result in future ass-kicking efforts.

Well, it was one of those days for St. Paul's HEATHER LENDWAY (photo), who in 2015 podiumed at St. Anthony's, an iconic early season Olympic race that still respects pros and offers generous prize money. Her performance in  '15 jumpstarted a season that resulted in her being named US Pro Rookie of the Year.

Heather will be blogging soon about her Tampa Bay ordeal, and we'll be reposting with a link to her site. RESULTS
