* The number of votes a race receives is divided into the number of participants in that event to determine % of participation. For instance, if a race had 600 participants and 30 of those entrants voted for that event, that race received support from 5% of its participants. Historically, an event needs to receive support from more than 10% of its entrants to make the Top 5, and 15-20% to win. The races that came the closest to making the Top 5 are: TwinCities Triathlon, Apple Duathlon, Tri For a Cause, Green Lake Triathlon and Lake Minnetonka.

Forty-eight of the 80+ adult outdoor multis received votes this year.
